Consider the contrived example attached.

You have wind loads that are generally (but not necessarily) oriented in the cardinal directions, as indicated by the arrows.

You also have a means by which wind might be blocked, but only in specific directions.

Winds in the red, blue, and green arrow locations might be applicable, but winds in the purple arrow locations aren't.

Presently, there's no way to dictate to CAESAR how to accomplish this with wind settings alone.

The only "real" way to do it with CAESAR is to apply wind to red and blue locations, turn wind off for green - and calculate a distributed load and apply it as U1.

I'm not exactly eager delve into ASCE 07 and trial and error my way to ensure I'm matching CAESAR's numbers.

Does anyone have a different modeling technique - or is there a simpler explanation out there how CAESAR converts its inputs to wind loads?
