Actually, I dealt with pipe supports on a case by case basis and not really using the company standard since my current company don't have one. It was my previous company that I see those tables.

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of it.

You can use classical method and if you have FEA software in-house of your company better to explore it so that your approach will be general.

Sometimes, other company have a dedicated team designing pipe supports. But in my current company the set-up is not like that. So I have to rely on my own using the available tools at hand. Fortunately, FEA software is available. But if FEA is not available then you can always use the classic method as long as client approves it.
