I received a notification that Service Pack 2 for Caesar II V12 is now available. I'm downloading it now and looking over the readme. There's a rather disturbing change that I stumbled upon.

The readme indicates that SP1 and Hot Fix 1 need to be installed prior to installing SP2. In all previous incarnations of service packs, they have been cumulative.

This is going to make for a support hassle, particularly when setting up a new V12 install and applying updates. I don't think any of my users are even running Hot Fix 1 as the issues it addressed didn't apply to our work processes.

Why the change?
