I have noticed that wind will act also on the rigid without weight element and will result in lateral load. Insulation on the rigid without weight element, even not reported as insulation on the report, will increase the area affected by wind. Therefore (at least for big pipes) it is necessary to turn off the wind on the rigid without weight element. For convenience I never done this until now when I have a 10% more stress reported on the OCC only from such element.
