Hi,

We at our office are using In house developed software for pipe stress analysis. The anchor reaction loads are calculated based on dead weight and thermal loads.

These thermal loads are then multiplied with EH/EC & -(1-{(SH/SE)*(EC/EH)}) to meet the requirements of Equation 18 & 19 of ASME B31.1. This is to calculate hot and cold reaction forces.

These hot and cold reactions are then added to dead weight and Maximum and minimum in each case is compared,ie {MAX OF (Dead load+Hot reaction) (Dead load+Cold reaction) (Dead load)} is given as maximum design anchor load in one direction (X,Y,Z,Mx,My,Mz). Similarly Minimum of all is calculated and is given as anchor design maximum load with opposite sign(-X,-Y,-Z,-Mx,-My,-Mz).

Now I want to know if CAESAR includes this hot and cold reaction while computing anchor forces and moments for operating load cases such as W+D1+T1+P1+H.
