I see that the WRC 107 processor references "radial" for attachments to spherical shells.
For spherical shells, the two perpendicular P-sub-m (SUS) stresses (shown as radial & longitudinal or radial & tangential) are equal to your hoop term. It is with cylinders that longitudinal pressure stress is half the hoop stress.
