Yes. There is a setting in the "Miscellaneous Tab" of the "Configuration Module" (User_ID) to prevent this from happening. (This is only possible if the Data Directory is on a Network Drive.)

For additional details on this, you can view the Animated Tutorial on this subject. From the Main Menu, select "\Help\Animated Tutorials". When the page displays, scroll it down to the section titled "CAESAR II Tutorials". The 7th item in this section is the one to address your current situation. (At some point you should watch them all, you will find them helpful.)
