Dear All,

I am designing the roof plate thickness for downward loading .

Roof type - Fixed roof - Self supported
Tank Dia - 3200 mm
Tank Height - 4575 mm
Existing roof plate thickness - 6 mm
Live load - 122 Kg/m2
Vacuum - 25.4 Kg/m2.
Piping and valves weight - 70Kg.


In existing tank roof some additional weight (piping & valves) are added, for that i have to calculate the roof plate stability.

I have considered load combination as follows,

Corroded weight of roof plate + live load + 0.4 x Vacuum + load due to Piping and valve arrangement.

how to calculate the roof stability for above said load combinations.
