I think I found something of interest.
Actually, when I looked into the seminar task of 2007 , I got good results:
(you will find enclosed the tutor + the caesar II file).
I got 17.1% of code stress ratio for sustained load (coherent with tutor results)
But, I got 114% of maximum stress to allowable ratio for expansion case , instead of the speicfied 116%.
The difference is due to the way of modelling thermal growth of discharge nozzle (node 10) . The tutor said that there is two approaches :
1/ calculate thermal growth of discharge nozzle by setting displacement value at node 10 (0,1.92,1.15,0,0,0)
2/ add a construction element between nozzle node and pump base point (see tutor pdf page 14)
My problem is that I don't know how to use the second approach. Could you help me ?
