Hey I resemble that fitter!!!! and according to some also have the ill temper!

The ASME B16.5 has a lot of words in it not just the P&T tables. Some of those words describe the liabilties if the bolted pressure joint as well as just because the P&T table says its OK it may not be leak free if pryed on!

I advise reading B16.5 and anything written by either Payne, Koves or Bickford on the bolted joint! Dr. W Koves even has a piece of software called Kflange for those who ar interested enough to pay money for some added analysis.
