Hi fellow stressers.

I have portion of DN150 CL300 piping buried with a low point drain DN25 connection (sockolet). Obviously this branch connection is the weakest point and overstressed in thermal stress range. Buried pipe Delta temp is 35 degC.
And an anchor block is added about 1.5 m downstream of the branch connection. Placing it very close (100mm) to the branch point, reduced the stress significantly. No option to leave this drain in a pit.
My question, how is the best way to model the anchor block? Currently I placed an anchor at the center line of the block (1.5m Lx2m Wx2m H 3).
What's the best way to make this work?

Thanks in advance for any of your input.

have you thought to use buried expansion cushions around sockolet area?

see an image about cushions:

your cushion will be small around sockolet point to let sockolet displacement.
