Dear all,

is it possible to add a pipe schedule (pipe wall thickness) for each component in the PCF file in CADWorx?

PIPE
END-POINT 633360.3267 5044529.3170 99150.0002 1.0000 BW
END-POINT 633358.6156 5044946.4998 99150.0002 1.0000 BW
UNIQUE-COMPONENT-IDENTIFIER 61AF4D00-A51F-4903-BFE0-17650DBCF061
FABRICATION-ITEM
MATERIAL-IDENTIFIER 2
INSULATION-ON
INSULATION-SPEC CALCIUM SILICATE
TRACING-ON
TRACING-SPEC ELECTRIC
WEIGHT 3.233830
COMPONENT-ATTRIBUTE4 P007812
COMPONENT-ATTRIBUTE2 PIP
PIPING-SPEC A01F00D
COMPONENT-ATTRIBUTE1 A01F00D
SCHEDULE 80

When we create piping class via piping specification editor we define for each pipe size corresponding pipe schedule so for me, this can be possible!?

This should be possible. You could make use of the short description and then populate with the MAINSCH_SCH_TBL Schema.

If you are already using the short description for something else, you could add custom data.

Hi,

A short description is already used, can you please elaborate on how to add custom data so that is automatically populated from the MAINSCH_SCH_TBL Schema?

Take a look at these webinars from some time ago. Sadly it does not look like the schemas or even legacy keywords propagate through to custom data. You would either then need to repurpose the TAG or Part number fields if not being used, or add custom data with a drop down list to choose/set the appropriate schedule.

Hi,

thanks for the sent links.

I've watched both parts but didn't find what I was looking for.
I was hoping that there is a possibility to define which attributes can be exported to pcf file directly i.e. no need to add custom data fields in the CADWorx Editor.

I'm trying to figure out why pipe schedule is not an important attribute to be exported into pcf file by default. Or at least if it could be possible to select additional component attributes for export to pcf.

Would love to hear the answer from someone who has worked on the design of CADWrox software.

What are you wanting to do with the PCF ? You could export an enhanced PCF with the C2PCF command, but that generally does not create an Isometric.
