I am having some trouble with the 3-D (Hoops) graphics since updating CAESAR II with the latest Build 030403.

When I enter into the hoops graphics screen the piping graphics often are not there (but all the icons etc are visable) whereas the standard graphs are running fine and I can see the piping. I end up having to shut down CAESAR II and restarting it to get to view the 3d piping graphics. It will then run OK for a while before the screen becomes blank again.

Anybody else experiencing similar problems?

Suggested steps to resolve HOOPS issues are:
  • Try changing the "color depth" from "Control Panel\Display\Settings".
  • Try switching from the OPENGL drivers to the MSW drivers, using the switch in the "Configure-Setup\Plot colors" dialog.
  • Try turning off "hardware acceleration"
  • Ensure you have the latest drivers for the graphics board in use.

If these fail, check the following websites to ensure your graphics board isn't listed as one with known problems. If it is, the only remedy is to change the graphics board.
