Hai Everyone here,
Iam a New Member here, iam designing a vessel made up of SA 240 S31803 for which MDMT was not specified by the client. However,i considered 0 DEG C and carried away the design.I would like to know whether my approach is correct. Is there any way out to find out the MDMT for this material as this is not a Carbon steel.
For this Specific case,Design Pressure is 0.7 Bar,
and Operating Temperature is 120 Deg C.

Would greatly appreciate of any one helping me out.

Zakir,

Refer to UHA-51 for the MDMT for Stainless Steels. As these steels are more resistant to brittle failure than the carbon steels, the MDMT can be much lower for them.
