How does Caesar calculate the weights of fittings like elbow .Tees etc.
If we search on the net there are formulas for calculating the weights of the elbow itself (dry metallic weight).

However formulas for calculating the weight of the fitting with CONTENTS in it could not be located anywhere.

Hence the query as to how Caesar software does it.

Manoj

In CAESAR II, a tee is actually modeled as three straight pipes that intersect - thus no real fitting. The weight is the weight of the pipe to the intersection point.

For bends, the weight is computed as the length of a circular arc, based on the bend angle.
