Hello, We have issues with CW 2022 and I-Configure. When you click on Edit, It opens normally ISOGEN CONFIGURATION window, and always shows: Unable to create preview. Another error is: Unhandled System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid.
Beside that, we can normally export ISOs.
On one machine which has CW22 paired with Acad, it wont export the iso. It shows error: Personal ISOGEN failed while running Pass 3 of POD module [Personal ISOGEN error 34] What is interesting, on same machine Isogen runs normally on Bricscad platform.
Any clue haw to solving it?

Usually if it is unable to create a preview, in the top right hand corner there is normally a list of errors/descriptions.
Sometimes the preview wont display because a something trivial like a symbol file is specified in the style, but the actual file is unavailable.
RE Error 34, this can have a number of causes. I would check the Read/write access on this particular machine to the Isogen Project/Style Directories.
Also is the style set to overwrite ? Options Switch 31.
You could get Error 34 if an isometric has been generated and is open, and you are trying to generate the same line again which will have the same file name.
Because the file is already in use, it cant overwrite.

Hi Vanman. About error 34; it is not Read/write access, otherwise it would not work neither from Bricscad, like I said, same Style in Bricscad works normally. Overwrite is enabled. Anything else? I uninstalled completely Acad, Bricscad and CW. Again installed Acad and CW. No change. I tried create new style, but even with new style it is the same. I think it is not related to the I-Configure at all.

If the same error occurs with a fresh style. The issue I dont think is style related, but rather installation related.
Try running the pisogenwrapper.bat from C:\CADWorx 22\Plant\Isogen\I-Configure
Then the CADWorx64Register.bat from C:\CADWorx 22\Plant\Support
Lastly the *.bat files from C:\CADWorx 22\Utilities
Reboot and try again.
Edit : Can you try and create a project/style directly on the C:\

I havent heard of errors occurring in one platform vs another, but here is a list of causes for error 34 I have found: Make sure the output iso is not already opened or read only Make sure Line number does not have any periods or special characters Make sure Output Path does not have any periods or special characters Purge title block and make sure there are not proxy object errors Make sure title block path is correct after copying style Make sure title block is saved down one AutoCAD version If ISOS randomly fail when being created to network location, but work locally try to check the DFS settings and change from CONTINUOUS to TIMED - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727150.aspxTurn off realtime backup/mirroring SMART DGN : Conversion failed : ERROR - Microstation is not installed. (only if exporting to DGN)

Yes, I can normally create project/style on C:
Can you export to this style ? In the environment variables make sure ISOKEEPFILES is set to YES. Might need to reboot for it to take effect. When using IGO, there will be an option to view extraction logs. Collect them and then view the files. There might be a clue in there somewhere.

I checked everything from Mat.W said. No change. Vanman, I created new default project/style, and still I have same error and still I cannot see preview in Isogen Configuration. This second is the same issue in all machines. Where can I find ISOKEEPFILES variable?

Your style shows up in I-Configure here when imported and I do not get any errors when running an iso. Myabe try exporting your style or re-creating the style from backup using the extraction log sent over. I have multiple versions of CWP installed and it appears to be using the oldest version of ISOGEN when running isos from CWP22. Im not sure if this is why it works on my end or not, but looking at your ProjectManager.log it shows a lot of weird characters for your I-Configure.exe path. When I ran an iso using your style the path for me showed correctly, however it was for 2019, not 22.

I also think that everything is fine with style itself. We also noticed that CWP22 is using isogen from earlier CWP installed. On that machine all earlier versions are uninstalled and fresh copy of CWP22 was installed. But same thing I done on my machine and everything works (except the "no preview" issue in isogen configuration). Which weird characters are you pointing for? I don't see anything weird.

I believe this points to some sort of installation problem. Either CADWorx is not installing correctly, or there is some sort of windows dependency that Isogen requires which is missing or corrupted on this particular machine.
One last question, how are you launching I-Configure? From the CADWorx ribbon or the windows taskbar ?

I believe this points to some sort of installation problem. Either CADWorx is not installing correctly, or there is some sort of windows dependency that Isogen requires which is missing or corrupted on this particular machine. For installs we recommend to right click all downloaded zip/exe and look at the properties. Then check the Unblock box in the lower right corner near OK. Make sure to unblock the zip before extracting the files. Then also always right-click Run and Administrator This fixes/prevents many install issues.

It lunches in same way, from CW or from Task, or directly from I-Configure folder. Matt., so what? Check that box, hit OK and then again open the properties and clear the box before extracting? Is that that you suggesting? It sounds weird for me. But I don't remember if I run Setup with admin rights, although user has all admin rights.

It lunches in same way, from CW or from Task, or directly from I-Configure folder. The reason I ask, is that I recall having a problem on one of my machines with 2020 R1 and 2020 R2. The R1 I-configure would not show previews for existing styles, but R2 would. Even though they both launch as I-Configure 2016, the builds are often different between versions. Although reading the thread again now, you only have V22 installed, so its not that.

OK, but do you have case where CWP22 is installed and I-Configure don't wanna show preview? Even with fresh created styles? Something seems left behind deep in Windows that creating problems whit new installation of CWP22.

After installation with "Run as administrator" it exports Isos without errors finally.. What a mess Thank you guys. But "no preview" in Isogen conf. is not solved however.

Thats good to hear, usually in the top right hand corner of I - configure, it will list an error message or number which will give a clue to why the preview may not be working.
Does creating fresh styles on the C:\ still give you the same preview error ?

Once its checked and OK is hit the file will no longer have the 'Block'. Essentially if you download a zip, unblock the zip in properties before unzipping the file. If you download an exe, just unblock that file. This allows Windows to do a full install, I don't know what all it does in the background, but we have noticed it helps in quite a few cases to have a more stable install.
