I am working a complex assembly that will have expansion joints and snubbers. Some pipes are break out spools and there are different fluid densities so I have 8 models. There are 32 operating profiles in each model. Expansion joint and snubber movements need to be checked.

Is there a tool that will let me compare rotation between two elements more quickly than a case-by-case check using the expansion joint tool? Am I stuck manually coding law of cosines into Excel?

Is there a function that will let me measure two points relative distance for all cases in a model? Am I stuck manually coding distance formula for each snubber in each "restraint summary extended"?

I know of no pre-made alternative.

But while you're in Excel, I would suggest learning to set it up in Power Query. Its design intent fits with CAESAR's reporting structure.

Power Query is the best, yep. Still that's a lot of manual crunching. If only there was some math-smart machine that could help me do a repetitive mathematical task quickly. Sigh.
