Hi,

I have a pipe running at an elevation of 80 meters.
However, I have defined wind profile only till 60 meters.

How does the CII calculate and apply force on piping at 80 meters?

I vaguely remember reading that CII would extrapolate.

Can anybody clarify.

Thanks in advance.

I believe CAESAR II will take the last value (the value at 60 meters) and use that.

You can verify this by building a model with one element, and setting its elevation at 70 meters.

It will take the value o 60 m. it will not going to extrapolate. You can extrapolate and impose a new bigger value to 80 m.
