Hi All,

I am curious of others user experience with modelling stiff perimeter seal enclosures over damage pipe in Caesar. In my case only both enclosure ends contact the pipe in a clamp type seal made of 2 external SS 3/8 tube in grooves and injected silicone sealant in the middle. It would be conservative to assume a fully rigid attachment, but I am expecting a semi rigid assembly allowing some flexibility. I am looking for a method to estimate the attachment stiffness to use either as a simplified anchor with cnode in caesar or in a more detail model with individual restraint type/stiffness combo and additional maximum displacement allowed.

In other word: calculating the stiffness of a restrain composed of a 6 inch pipe penetrating inside a rigid pressure fitting, thru a seal made of 2 external 3/8'' tubing and silicone inside sealant (about 1.5'' wide seal assembly). The gap between the fitting and the pipe is 0.114''.

Thanks
