To COADE technical support,

I'm a new user for your tank program. I designed tank , dia 6 m. The anchors are required and i entered the bolt size M36-12sets with corrosion allowance 3 mm. The output anchor bolt result said " specified user bolt diameter is insufficient " then i changed the bolt size to larger size up to M100 but the result is still shown " insufficient " . please advise me.

Thank you in advance.

I can't answer specifically without looking at your data. E-mail your input (tki) file to us and we'll take a look at it.

I had this several times..
Was is not because the minimum set corrosion allowance for anchor bolts is 1/4" or 6.25 mm.!!!

Mr. Best tray to use 7 mm as dummy corrosion allowance for the anchor bolts only.
And let us hear about the effect on your result..
Thanks

The reason that the software recommends 38.1mm bolts is because TANK works with the TEMA bolt table. The input bolt diameter of 36mm translates to a TEMA bolt diameter of 1.417 inches, which doesn't exist. The next largest standard size is 1.50 inches, which translates to 38.1mm.
