Hello Fellow Stressers!!

Why is it that during the derivation of MOC, the density (related to Bulk Modulus of Elasticity of FLuid) and pipe area (related to Modulus of Elasticity of pipe) is variable in the "continuity equation" at the increment length delta x at increment time delta t but considered constant in the "momentum equation" at the same time and space increment?
