RB Member Registered: 07/01/06 Posts: 24	Hello everyone, I have a query on SSI used by FEA Translation. As per B31J, general notes d, SSI is equal to SIF for Elbow, Welding Tee, RFT. But, in FEA Translation SSI is taken as minimum of 0.75i and SQRT of i. Extract from B31J and CII files are attached for reference. Anyone faced this issue?. Denny_Thomas Member Registered: 11/04/20 Posts: 15 Loc: Texas, United States	Hello RB, You should get B31J errata. The referenced sketch in published book are incorrect. Only the Tees (all types) should have scaled down SSI's. All other components (bends, reducers, welds, etc.) will have SSI = SIF. Regards, Denny Thomas CAESAR II Support Hexagon PPM
