i have a vertical bend (see below: bend ends are nodes 10 and 20).

15--20-------

pipe is 14" so:
bend lenght 10-15 is 534mm
bend lenght 15-20 is 534mm

i had to insert a vertical dummy on elbow:
-i modeled a rigid pipe from node 10 having 534mm lenght. this pipe start from node 10 and go to node 500(node 500 is about the same as node 15).
-then i model the real dummy from node 500 to node 520, lenght 200mm. in node 520 there is the vertical support.

when i extract the iso i have a "disconnetct" error in node 500. how can i solve this problem and extract the iso without disconnected error?

thank you

This error occurs anytime you have pipe in caesar that occupies the same space as other pipe, namely elements 10-15 and 10-500.

"Proper" elbow attachment methodology would have you model 10-15-20 as normal, and then include a 14-500, length = 200.

An even more accurate modeling technique would include modeling from 14 to the extrados and attachment CL intersection point (call it 500, and model from 500-520 as you described above. However, this is only about 0.2% difference from "Proper" as described above, according to Dave Diehl's webinar from some 3-4 years back.

is node 14 the "M" node of elbow?

question: if i double click on an elbow and elbow datas are empty (there is no angle1:M mode1:14(example),....), what is the node number i have to connect?

do you have a link for Dave Diehl's webinar or the name of that webinar?

Caesar automatically assigns a node number to the midpoint of the bend, and usually that's N-1. I do not know offhand what it selects if that node is already used - presumably next available one.

If you manually assign one, then it'll use that, instead. You'd then attach to that.
