caesar CPU usage:
does caesar use only one core or (modern cpu have many cores) uses more than one core?

i have to change cpu and i would know if i have to buy a cpu having higher speed but less cores (an intel i5) or lower speed but more cores (intel i7)

The only time CAESAR tries to hog the CPU is when it's solving which is a minority of the time using the software for most.

However, when it is hogging the CPU, my experience is that it hogs a singular core.

But it's really difficult to gauge which is better without just setting a timer for different processes.

You're not going to find a linear relationship between cores and cycles.
