I am doing the Dynamic Analysis for Slug in Time History Method for the first time.

Following are the Load case Analyzed
(OCC)Maximum response - Only Dynamic case
(OCC)COM#1 Max resp - Dynamic + Sustained case - Stress check is done
(OCC)COM#2 Max resp - Dynamic + Operating case - Restraint Summary and Displacement check is done

Kindly confirm whether the above LOAD CASE consideration and checks done by me is sufficient and correct?

One issue with your Max. Dynamic + Operating case:
Yes, CAESAR II will collect the maximum dynamic response in the time history analysis and sum that with the operating response. But the time history value is signed. So this signed value will be added to the operating value. I think you should also consider opposite sign on the dynamic response as that may give you a larger OPE+DYN total.

ABS selection in Static/Dynamic Combinations directive will be sufficient for the above point (Max.Dynamic+Operating)or negative sign has to be included in factor for new dynamic load case.

Dear sirs ,

I have tried to use static/dynamic combinations directive in Time-History processor and leave "blank" without choosing ABS or SRSS method ; It has found that CII still can run the static/dynamic combination output, please guide me how CII to proceed the static/dynamic combinations since there is no any combinations defined ?
