Good day all,

I have come across a big problem with one of my caesar models. I can open the piping input and see the model/change it. When i go to run the static loadcases, i get the following error message:

forrtl: severe(24): end-of-file during read, unit 11, file C:\Program Files(x86)\Intergraph CAS\CAESAR II 2013 R1\K
Image = libifcoremd.dll, PC=002C33B6

The file will not open on a colleagues computer either (the CAESAR II file is on a network drive)

I can open and run other CAESAR II files just fine. But this one is critical. I do not have access to the initial cadworx file used for modelling so i cannot quickly remodel.

Any help will be hugely appreciated.

Regards,

Nicksyms

It seems like an issue (related to long file/path name) that was addressed in a service pack. Download the latest service pack for 2013 (6.10) and try it again. The service packs are available on the support portal. Do you have access to it?

If it is still an issue then, file a support request.

Also, make sure none of the files are "read only".

Im not sure of this would have solved my problem, but I made a copy of the file and then recovered one of the backups from a few days ago. It worked fine then. The path name length didnt change and the backup file is working.

Thank you for your help though. I will bare this in mind if i get the error again.

So, what build of the 2013 R1 version (6.10) are you using currently?

You really need to make sure you have the latest (last) Service Pack, this issue could be resolved. Rather than play "20 questions" here, please open a Service Request on Smart Support so they can setup a WebEx to see exactly what and where the problem is.
