Hi Everyone,

I have searched the forums for a possible solution and unfortunately have not found one for what is happening.

We are running CADWorx 2016 SP3 and AutoCAD 2016 on Windows 7.

When the line is run and it creates multiple sheet on some of the connections the coordinates don't match. It appears that the thickness of the gasket is taking place on one sheet but the object is appearing on the second sheet with a different coordinate.

Any ideas.

Thanks in advance

Derrick

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this. The designer is going to re-cut the iso's tomorrow after she fixes the rest of the redlines. I am wondering if there is a fix to this or if it just some sort of anomaly.

Please let me know

thanks for all your help

D

I don't think many are paying that close attention to the actual coordinates. The fabricators are looking at overall lengths and field personnel aren't holding up GPS units at the open ends of pipes.

In the past I've quietly lobbied to not exclude coordinates on iso's so it's one less thing to check, and reduces clutter on drawings.

Thanks Dgorsman,

I agree sometime to much information is a bad thing. Unfortunately its our Checker that is catching it and wanting it to be changed, this is obviously before the fabricator sees it. Frustrating because it is not happening on all connections.

This had happened to me before (or something very similar), it was cause by the designer copying/mirroring/moving the component etc using AutoCAD commands and not letting the component regenerate/update. I find redrawing or rotating (will force component to update)the component fixes the coordinate issue. Maybe give that a try.

I wonder if the REASSOCIATEMODEL command would help so you don't have to redraw everything.

That will definately work. I normally teach this in my classes that if you have copied or mirrored or similar is to run this command on the new components.

Its not always neccesary to do so, but have found certain strange behavoir from time to time with copied components.
