I'd like to know folk's thoughts on the impact of friction slip on stress results and accuracy.

My general opinion is that in real life operating stresses/loads are ameliorated, but sustained loads can be exacerbated.

It also means that the system has a bit of unpredictability inherent to it, and that it helps pipe wander over time.

Your thoughts?

PCL-Gold (FEPipe suite) has an option to consider this phenom and a discussion in the help and/or in the previous update descriptions a few years back.
