hi,
the skin temperature of a pipe, due to external conditions like the sun, can it be taken into account in caesarII as it is the case with the thermal bowing ?

I don't believe there's any way to apply an external ambient heat transfer to the pipe. You have to do calculations to determine the maximum temperature the pipe will see.

CAESAR does not estimate temperatures from any external effects, only effects due to temperatures you tell it to analyze to.

CAESAR does not estimate stresses for temperature differentials between the inside surface and outside surfaces of the pipe.

Thus, if you have solar radiation effects causing the pipe to be X degrees hotter than operating conditions, you'll have to input a temperature and associated load cases if you wish to analyze the phenomenon.
