Export to .SAT file does not show valve handles.
Does anyone know how to export to .SAT with valve handles?
(No time to save as and explode)
Client has CAD but not design reviewer.

Some clients only have ACAD for a model review so a .SAT file is a version with out intelligence we can provide.
This is only when they cannot use an .IFV or .dwfx file.

Is not having access to the xdata in native AutoCAD the primary concern ?

You can remove data from the components with GCE > Remove. You clients would then be able to view the models with having the OE installed.

Similaraly if you want regular 3D solids you could use SaveAs > CWEXPLODE. to my mind this would be quicker than exporting a .sat file and having to import it into a new model, unless I am missing something somewhere.

The component data that you can read in Navisworks or Design reviewer after exporting is good for the client to have, it will help them align our model to the P&IDs.
We just do not want the client to be able to drop ISOs after we hand over the model for review purposes only. We often have repeat work from the same project/client and if we handed over everything they could go out for a bid with our model.
I will encourage clients to get Navisworks if they do not have Design Reviewer and SaveAs > CWEXPLODE as a last resort. Thanks.
