I have Caesar II 2019, Version 11.00.00.4800

I believe there's an error in the Seismic Wizard where it is not applying the 0.7 factor at the end.

Example:
Using S(s) = 0.75, ap = 2.5, Rp = 3.5, Ip = 1.5, z/h = 1
The wizard inputs aH = 0.7714 and aV = 0.12, which don't have the 0.7 factor applied at the end.

My understanding is these values should be aH = 0.5400 and aV = 0.0840.

If I'm wrong please let me know my error.

Also, the ASCE Example in the help window/user guide has a mathematical error at the end. For aV = 0.7 * 0.20694 it should equal 0.1449 not 0.1149 as shown.

You are correct, the 0.7 factor is no longer applied by the (ASCE-7) Seismic wizard. We changed this purposely, to be consistent with the (ASCE) wind load generator.

The 0.7 (seismic factor) and 0.6 (wind factor) should be applied to the appropriate vector in the load cases. This is because for structural purposes you need 100% of the load, while for stress purposes you want the factored (reduced) load.

The load case setup (assuming seismic in U1) would be:

n1) W+P1+T1+U1 -----> for structural
n2) W+P1+T1+0.7U1 -----> for stress

n3) W+P1+T1+WIN1 -----> for structural
n4) W+P1+T1+0.6WIN1 -----> for stress
