Attached is a file showing hand drawn sketches of equipment with node numbers. It is proposed that if there is a provision to have templates as shown in attachment for equipment modeling then same can be used by maker and checker . It will be very useful when systems move from one hand to another . It is easy to co-relate CAESARII input with isometrics while handling any system done by other person , when it comes to you for checking or updating. That is not the case with equipment model checking/ updating in CAESARII. Let there be such templates with geometry and node numbers as shown . Maker has to only fill relevant data on these templates for modeling the equipment. The equipment should be part of graphics the way it is presently , only addition would be a separate viewing available for equipment as shown. The user will only give data for elements which are relevant to him for modeling equipment and nozzle. Node numbers can be changed by user using normal commands. Hope my concept is clear. There can be more such geometries for other equipment like tank etc.

You could build these models now, and use them as components when needed. You can use the "piping include" option to pull these components into piping models, then change the dimensions.

Richard thx for reply. Is it very difficult to have a facility like template or something similar to what you have suggested. Is there any option to import component or you mean that EQPT file is a component ? But having an option to identify equipment would be great advantage.

In CAESAR, you have the option to import other piping files... Environment, Include Piping Files.

You could manage a library of vessels, but you'll probably find that if you don't memorize them, it'll be quicker to input the parameters manually.

Though if you can import excel sheets in 2019, this would be something that can be accomplished user-side with Excel VBA macros.
