Hi,

I have a query on uniform loads.
In my Caesar ii file, I have seismic case that is inputted as U1 & U3 in terms of G.Also, I need to put uniform load of fin in U2 case in terms of F/L.
So i think either i have to use Uniform loads only in G or in F/L.
Is there any option in Caesar ii to simulate both cases?

There's nothing stopping you from using G's for U1/U3 and F/L for U2. The error processor will generate a note that both types are used, so you should double check your input.

I've used seismic input in G's and ice load in F/L in the same model; hopefully that wasn't an error.

Actually i want to include the weight of fin on convection tubes(pipes) model in Caesar ii.

Is there any other way (other than uniform load) to include the weight?

You could modify the pipe density, fluid density, or use insulation/cladding density to potentially capture the weight.

I'd be more concerned about how the fins may affect the flexibility/movement of the piping.
