Currently using 2018 CDWX Pro, is there any major reason not to use the 2019 upgrade?

If you use SQL with it, I would not use 2019. It is really laggy.

Clint, I recall you were wanting to link PID and 3D models? The new PIDVIEW features in 2019 is reason alone to upgrade. This functionality has been greatly enhanced.

Thanks! I do not use SQL. Vanman: I thank you as well for the trip down memory lane and will proceed with migrating to 2019 very soon. (Your power of recall trumps my own - politics aside.) IT does appear they are attempting to make CADWorx great again ;-)!

We are updated from 2017 to 2019 starting on new project since SP1 is out.

I still wish the would fix the support on support feature at some point. We kind of need Shoes on Dummy Legs.

At least, an easier way to do it. I change the ISOGEN coordinates for shoes/guides to one of the elbow endpoints, but that still requires some user input.

Do you do this in model or PCF pre-processor?

In the model. No real way to modify the PCF content, as there's no way to figure out which elbow to associate it with. That's where the user input comes in - they pick the point.

Do not go to CADWorx 2019. Skip it. It is garbage. Way too slow and constantly hanging.
The company I am currently with is using a SQL server and the lag is horrible.
CADWorx is also moving to BricsCAD which is painful to use, specially if you are a steel designer (no stretch command!!?!). It's like going back 15 years with technology. I was forced to use 2017 CW on BricsCAD and moved on for my own mental health.

So sick & tired of companies that have a good product and they dumb it down or keep making bad changes so that it is no longer viable.

Not to mention the software sales folk are kind of like used car salesmen now and they know nothing about what they sell you and offer no support once you make the purchase.

Very frustrated with 2019 CADWorx
