Indeed, the database error is really annoying.

I think that one must clean type the text and nothing more; when you try to copy-paste a text (even from a text file, regardless the font or encoding as ANSI, Unicode or UTF-8) a database error is coming-up.

I kindly ask to try solving this issue. Thanks.

My Caesar II 2017 problem is :

The prepip.exe of CII 2017 can't run on my windows 7 enterpirse 64bit system, if i click the "piping input" button, the software show error and stop run, but the output,configure,material database,static analysis module,etc. are all ok!
It is no use to change Opencl to Windows Basic Video in configure setting.
My desktop computer information are:
Dell Optiplex 5050,intel i5-7500 cpu,windows 7 enterprise 64 bit system,Opencl 2.1,Microsoft Directx 11.0, intel HD Graphics 630.

CII 2011 can run ok on the same computer.and the CII 2017 can also run ok on my colleagues's computers which are base on win 7 prosfessional 32 bit or 64 bit systems.

What's the problem! Can anyone give me some light!

What error is PREPIP throwing?

This is a generic Microsoft crash message. The only information really useful here is the fact that PREPIP crashed, and that this is v.9.00.

Questions:
1) Is this happening with only one job? If so, can you please open an SR and send in the job.

2) When did this problem start happening?

3) Did anything change on your machine just before this problem manifested itself?

No,this happen with every job,including new job,Examples job and CII 2011job.

My computer is a new computer,and the first time CII 2017 was intalled last month on this computer, this problem happen. then i reintalled the OS(the reinstalled OS is still WIN 7 enterprise 64bit)and reinstalled CII 2017, the prepip.exe still don't work now.

No change on my machine just before this problem.
If i choose WINDOWS BASIC VIDEO setting, the pipinginput window will show 1 or 2 seconds before the error occor. if i choose OPENGL setting, the pipinginput window will not show before the error occor .

CII 2011 work well on the same computer and i installed CII 2011 first ,and then i installed CII 2017.

I finally solved the problem.

I guess that problem is something wrong with graphics,because the prepip.exe is based on graphics, and any graphics related modules of CII 2017 all can't work.

I found this morning my computer is equipped with two video cards, one is AMD Radeon R5 430 and another is Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 on mainboard, if i stop anyone of them, CAESAR II 2017 revive and prepip.exe can work again.That's

And I found that my computer have two displayers alongwith two videocards，but one displayer was connected to the
intel video card's DP connection and the other was connected to the AMD video card's DVI connnection.
Connecting the two displayers to the same video card also make thing ok, So two displayer connecting to different video card is the real reason that make the CII 2017 prepip.exe to stop work.
