Hi experts,

Can anybody pls share the calculations for forged latrolets & Fabricated laterals as B31.3 does not provide the same?

Also want to know that which one is having more SIF value?

You can make an analogy to Weldolets versus Fabricated branches (UFT/RFT). CII has the Bonney Forge Latrolets SIF as a SIF pulldown (#15). It is more prudent to do a simple FEA (NozzlePro) for the fabricated laterals and be aware that the laterals are typically Weaker in Torsion due to the large area removed from the header.

The flexibility factor (k) is a term incorporated into the bend element's local stiffness matrix. Overall this value changes the global stiffness matrix and therefore the resulting system deflections and rotations.
