Caesar II support structure modelling with Indian Sections ?

Indian structural standard IS-808 has data for Indian structural sections. In the database definition, I could not find thickness data for some sections - viz. angle 110x110x8thk or 12 thk - we have angle 110x110 for angles of all thks.

Have anyone of us used structural modelling in Caesar-II ? If I use, user data, graphics is lost.

For support structure design for stress and stiffness & combined structual/ piping modelling for vibration investigation we use structural model of Caesar -II.

Can we have some simple structural models with ISMC, ISMC Box & ISA sections to utilize the facility we have in CII ?

reg,
sam

Indian Sections are in Caesar database, all you need is to specify this into the config file.

Thanks! Short descriptions of IS sections are not unique, not having thk for angle section as an example. Moreover, if we need to use box section, half of H section,or lug of plate only, how will I model?
In Ansys, using beam188 or 189, we can do this easily. But, can I do this in Caesar -II ?

You can use the "USER" shape designation to define the area and inertia properties for analysis. The height and width dimensions are used for plotting only and will not affect the results.
