When checking results in Restraint Summary Ext Report, as we all know it's possible to search for the max Fx, Fy, and so on.
By clicking on the Find button for the second time, it's possible to find the second higher value.
I seem to remember that there was (about 10 years ago) a keyboard combination to jump directly to the second, third, fourth,... higher result.
Do I remember correctly?
Maybe I'm wrong and it's possible to do something similiar in the output 3D plot, but I don't remember how.
I know it's possible to solve this problem by creating the right load case, but I often have to check calcuations made by other.
Could someone please advise me?

Regards

The combination for the 3D plot is Shift + Enter
It is possible to sort some reports as well.
Looks like there is no solution for the restraint summary extended, but using a MAX case and sorting forces or displacements in a non-summary report

I would suggest the following:

1. Create a custom restraint report.
2. Put in Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz.
3. Do NOT put in Dx, Dy, Dz, Rx, Ry, Rz. (See note below.)
4. Enable the option to print the node number on every line.
5. Make it a summary.
6. Export your custom report to Excel. If CAESAR and Excel are incompatible, use another format at import into Excel as needed, utilizing data to columns as necessary.
7. Enable data filter and click on the sorting buttons.

Back in the day, I would use this trick to quickly locate lift-off points for hot sustained cases.

Note: Inputting displacements causes the "node number on every line" to not work in some (or all) versions of CAESAR.

Is there a way to make the custom report remove empty rows between restraints or make Excel sorting work with those spaces? When I add filter/sorting buttons and there's blank rows between data sets it only looks at the first set.

Excel:
Open Restraint Summary Extended, filter and hide in Column C all the empty cells.

If you simply select data filter with a single cell activated, Excel will assume that the first blank row is the end of the data.

If you manually select the range data and row headers, and then enable data filter, it will filter the range you specified.

Shortcuts are as follows:

Click on the first column of the data header.
Hold the Shift key.
Press the "End" key.
Press the right arrow key.
Hold the Page Down key until you get to the end of your data.
Let go of the Shift key.
Click on Data Filter.
