We note that saddle angle less than 120 degrees is not accepable in pv elite or code calc. internationally reputed consultants like Engineers India limited use saddle angles less than 120 degrees in their saddle support standard for pressure vessels /heat exchangers. Is it possible to add the facilty to analyse saddle supports having angles less than 120 deg, atleast in the next version of PV elite?

Ranjit,

Thank you for your suggestion. We have added the provision for the saddles with smaller angles (up to 80 degrees). This was added in the June 2004 build of both CodeCalc and PVElite programs.

You can download this build from our website, under supports and downloads.
