Hi,

I'm a new user of PVELite June 2004 version .
I'm analyzing a vertical vessel with skirt and conical downward head, but I couldn't make it work!

Do I'm making only a mistake, or it can't be done ? confused

Regards

Hello Mr Kuhn

Ok, if you do this, you will get it to work. Suppose you are building the vessel from the beginning.

Start with the skirt. Now add a cone. In the field that is titled: 'Distance' (just under the field (called 'Diameter'), set this Distance to zero, as this is the length of the straight flange of the skirt, not the length of the skirt. In the frame called: 'Element additional data', set the length of the cone, and its lower (bottom) diameter.

If you still have a problem, then e-mail at rdelaforce@coade.com, and I shall sent you a file with the this set up, and you will be able to see how it is done.
