Sorry that I'm not familiar with PV Elite and here is my question that can we use PV Elite to deal with the imposed loads from piping supports on the platform including with translation forces and external moments ?

The equipment engineer answered me that nobody provides external moments on the operation platforms and it sounds so strange to me , please give your advices if any.

The equipment engineer is generally correct. There are no nozzles attached to the platform. I am not sure why you would think that thrusts from piping would be transferred to the platform.

Perhaps there is some other reason.

Sorry that my meaning is when the process piping was arranged around tower operation platform ,the piping support was designed from platform and we provides the related support loading information with translation forces and moments to equipment vendor.
However, they told me that nobody provides support loading with moment except translation forces only.

If the platform of the tower (vertical vessel) is subject to loads from attached piping, PV Elite is unable to accommodate that, and do an analysis for the moments and forces. That is a very unusual configuration.

It we want to solve piping support loading issues ; might we use structual design software (ex PKPM...) to overcome the problem like this.
