Dave,

As CAESAR II was shipped Sy was not provided for the materials mentioned. We have added your request to include Sy for those materials in our development backlog. If Sy is blank, you may manually input the value based on what is included in the Piping Code you are using.

There was no change in Sy for those materials from version 2016 to 2018. This value was always blank. Those values may be changed manually in the User material database.

Thank you for your feedback on the Software.

Dear Tyler san,

Thanks for your kind assistance and appreciating my query to forward CII Development Backlog team.

One more query related to same materials : Please correct us.

We had checked with other colleagues and PCs installed of CII 2016, 2017 and 2018.

We have found that without manually input of "Sy", CII will continue of last calculation "Sy" value in the new calculation on few of computers. There is no change in new allocated CII File like "Blank" or "Change in SY magnitude".

I kindly request to check one time from your side also this query.

Thanks once again for your feedback.

Regards
Dave

Dave,

The value stored in Yield Stress column of Material Database is what will be put in the Sy field of Piping Input. The Ambient temperature will be used to determine which value to use here.

You may check your material database by going to the Utilities Tab->Materials. In Material Database Editor select Material Dropdown Menu->Edit. Search for and select your material. Selecting Okay will display the values used for that material.

I will have Vinod follow up through your SR to make sure you are Satisfied.
