I have never analyzed a system where thermal bowing was required to be evaluated but I see this coming at me within the next month. How is this dome within CAESAR II and what load case would thermal bowing be assigned to. I am assuming a thermal expansion load case.

You specify the thermal bowing deltaT (Temp_Top - Temp_Bottom) on the Special Execution Parameters dialog. This deltaT is applied to all load cases that include temperature load primitives. For example, both load cases below would include the effects of thermal bowing:

1) W+T1+P1 (OPE)
2) W+T2+P1 (OPE)
