Hello Everyone confused

I need a help with the Spring Hanger topic.
I'm not an Expert in Caesar II.
Now I prepare a Instalation with a lot of Spring supports and springs.
In newest Caesar II we can choose a spring support from almost 40 manufacturers, but unfortunately I can't choose that one that I must use, becasue in Caesar II it doesn't exist.
It is Polish company with Their own springs with own spring rates and allowable forces.
So it is possible to implement my own spring support in caesar ??
With my own values of spring rates and forces and spring pre-tension ??
Thanks for Your Help

Yes. You can manually put pre-set(COLD) loads and spring rate as per the vendor you selected. Keep in mind the variability of spring during hot condition.

Okey Thanks.

I work on AutoPIPE before and maybe in cuurent version is okey, but previous I must recalculate a spring rate in relation to vendor which was implement in Program so in this regard CII is better.

PS. Can I add a name or type of this support (maybe also company name) which I choose in report?

Adrian, sorry you can't add a company name to the hanger data. All CAESAR II accepts for a predefined spring is the cold load and spring rate (as mentioned above).

Please ask that hanger vendor to contact us, regarding adding their spring data to CAESAR II. If they will provide the data, we will incorporate it into the software.

In the meantime, you might find another manufacturer that is currently listed in CAESAR II that has similar springs and settings to yours. I find that many hanger tables are identical.

Dear Dave
We have in Poland a Catalog of supports which exist very long time but in this catalog we have ald materials but is not problem because we can change for equivalent material from current standard but the spring rates are totally diferent like in all catalog that You have in CII.

We have a habit of adding more hanger manufacturer's catalogs to CAESAR II. If you have your Polish hanger provider contact CAESAR II development (I suggest through Smart Support) perhaps you will find that data in a future issue of CAESAR II.

Are there certain EN materials that you wish to see in the CAESAR II material database?

Yes if it will be possible to implement.
Generally all materials from EN 10216 part 2 and 5
and also all materials from EN 10217 part 2 and 7.
But a lot of carbon steel materials are implemented but not all.
From Stainless steel Standards (EN 10216 part 5 and 10217 part 7) we don't have in Caesar enough materials.

Adrian,

Do you have that second material correct in your first group? X10CrWMoVNb9-2 (1.4901)

Dear Dave
This material is from EN Standard
In my opinion is correct. As I read it is simillar to P92
P92 is equivalent material for X10CrWMoVNb9-2 (1.4901)

Dave I have a question.
Becasue You told to give some the most important materials to implement.
When can we expect any update of the material basedata ??
In next version of the program or maybe faster ??
Because CII is very popular in Europe so this type of updates will be only with benefits for Intergraph and also for Stressers

Regards

Okey.
Thank You for answer Richard.
It will be a great solution for Stressers who work using EN Standard.

Dear Dave
I appreciated that You add all materials from my short list.
Thanks a lot
It is a huge facility that C II has a growing number of material from European standards.
I hope that in next version this list will be more extensive.
Regards and thanks a lot on behalf of those who work with European materials
