I have some doubts about the wrc 107 program.
First, when I'm running the program to check a nozzle on the head (toripherical, spherical) which diameter I should use in the field "Diameter of Vessel"? Do I have to enter the vessel diameter or to enter the crown radius (torispherical head), for instance?
Another thing that I'd like to know is If there is any way to get the stress summations when performing the calculations with the loads in the wrc107 convention or not? (I only get the stress summations when I input the loads in the global coordinates)
I hope some one could help me!

Thanks

Gilberto,

WRC 107 only addresses cylindrical and spherical vessels. A ellipsoidal or a torispherical head can be approximated as an equivalent spherical head, if the nozzle is in the spherical portion of the head. In case of a torispherical head the equivalent spherical diameter is twice the crown radius.

For a spherical head enter the head diameter.

At this time, Stress summation is only available when loads are entered in the global coordinate system. If you are encountering some problems in converting the loads into global coordinate system, send us a fax with your geometry and loads and we will help you. smile
