Is it right to use chain pulley block to change spring support in cold box piping without opening the flange ?

Can't the cold box internals be damaged in this process ?

Our springs in the cold box connected piping are not at cold load positions; we need to bring them back to cold load positions by rotating load flanges of bottom type spring supports. Can we do this with cold box connected flanges bolted using a chain pulley block to take load while changing spring cold load from present high value to cold load position safely ?

sam
