prasath Member Registered: 08/15/13 Posts: 6 Loc: uae	Hi, Im designing 40 m Dia Tank, 1. Does TANK have option to design Supported roof with only rafters and girder ring (means no columns ). Note.: Normally manual design primary rafter and secondary rafter with girder ring

LINUS Member Registered: 04/07/08 Posts: 23 Loc: INDIA	Such roofs are better designed by modelling in Staad. Manual may be very laborious.

Richard Ay Member Registered: 12/13/99 Posts: 6226 Loc: Houston, Texas, USA	If there are no columns, TANK will assume there are no girders. The rafters will run from the tank shell to the center of the roof. The selection for this roof type is: "rafter supported roof". _________________________ Regards, Richard Ay - Consultant
