Hi to all,

I'm trying to combine the SUS case with 25% of the EXP so I define in the load cases the following (using V8.00):

L10+0.25L16.

Apparently everything works fine but when I see the output automatically my case is converted into:

L10+25L16

I tried different things to achieve the 0.25 but no way, never had this issue with older versions.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Regards,
J

That error was discovered in Version 8 (2016) and fixed with Hot Fix 4. This fix is available through SmartSupport. You could also run Version 9 (2017) to eliminate this problem.

Hello again,

version updated to 8.00.00.5604 (Build 160315) but the same problem remains, no way to enter de 0.25 factor.

Any alternative different than using V.9?

Thanks,

J

Try that again. - not the download.
Go into the load case editor and confirm that you are using "0.25". If our processor stored the data as "025" you'll have to put your decimal point back in.

Hi,

0.25 confirmed but the processor stores it as 25.

Does it work in your computer?

Yes, I entered 0.25W as a new load case and the sum of all Y restraint loads equals 1/4 of the total weight.
If you haven't done so, I suggest you retype the load case.

Hello,

I have tried in a different computer udpating again the Hot Fix 4 and the same result. I cannot combine any factor with any Load case. Every time I write 0.25, 0.3, 0.5 or whatever, the processor stores it as 25, 30 and 50.

I also created a new model only to try what you were mentioning of the 0.25W and again the same.

Thanks,

J

Hello Mandeep,

I changed in the panel control of Windows my regional configuration into English (United States) and it solved the problem.

I can enter the factor as I used to in the previous versions.

Thanks for your support.

J
