In CAESAR-II, for WRC 17/537/297 calculation module by default the allowable are taken from Section II PART D tables 2A & 2B.
Why? what is the basis for that.

Section II PART D tables 2A & 2B is "SECTION III DIVISION 1. CLASS 1 AND SECTION III DIV 3"

Generally we thought it is SEC VIII DIV 1 or 2.

Please correct me, if I am wrong.

Any Help?

Section II Part D Tables 2A & 2B apply to Section VIII Division 1 and Tables 5A & 5B apply to Section VII Division 2.

In that I didn't find SEC V111 - DIV 1

In fact Section II PART D tables 1A & 1B apply to Section VIII Division 1

check SA-516 gr 60 in WRC107 module with this table and see that it match. Also the notes numbers.

And ASME VIII Div. 1 send you also to PART D tables 1A & 1B

My understanding is also same 1A & 1B -- SEC VIII DIV 1

5A & 5B -- SEC VIII DIV 2

Caesar allowable are taken from Section II PART D tables 1A & 1B. See confirmation from Dave above.

I withdrew my statement made in error. See above.

The CAESAR II materials found in the WRC processor come from Section II Part D Tables 1A , 1B & 3 (Table 3 is for bolting).

What version of CAESAR II are you using? Here is the help text displayed from v.9.00 (2017).

In CAESAR II - v.8.00 (2016), I think a small mistake in C-II help file.

Finally, WRC calculation allowable are based on SECTION II PART D - Table 1a & 1b -- (section VIII DIVISION 1)
