When you generate Isometrics in CAESAR II, you will see a pcf generated. That is good for geometry and is not so detailed as one generated by CAD software. But, it should help.

Thanks Mandeep.

But I do not want to generate stress isometrics. I want to import pcf file in Caesar so that I need not model 3d pipe geometry from solidworks software.
There is import pcf file in Caesar. And pcf file can be exported from solidworks.

When I done this exercise it run a while and then program terminated. Hence wanted to see simple pcf file which can able to run so that I can check if something wrong and wrong in file.

I suggest you dump out a pcf created by a small CAESAR II model and compare that to the product of Solidworks. (Click on "Generate Stress Isometrics" on the Main Menu, then take a look at the pcf created.) This comparison should illustrate the extent of the required modification.

You may also use the pcf files that comes with Caesar. See inside Examples folder.

Be careful with PCF files. The files generated by CAD systems are suitable for import into CAESAR II, so you don't have to manually code the geometry. Depending on which CAD system generated the PCF, there may be additional information transferred (insulation, temperature, pressure, etc).

The PCF generated by CAESAR II is intended to drive Isogen and produce a stress-iso. This is not suitable for import back into CAESAR II, this is why we appended "-SISO" to the filename.

Dauren,

Click the "New Topic" link at the top of the forum's main page.

The Mill Tolerance is displayed on the classic piping window on the left side, approximately half way down. It automatically populates, but you can change the value.
